How it works – from your call to an open door

From the moment you call to the moment you step inside, the process is the same every time, day or night.

1. You call

A person answers, at any hour. English is fine. Tell us:

• where you are: street address, entrance, floor
• what happened: locked out, lost keys, a broken key, a break-in
• what the door looks like: apartment door, steel security door, house door, smart lock
• whether anyone inside needs help (if so, call 112 first)

The call usually takes a couple of minutes.

2. You get a fixed price

Before anyone drives, you hear one fixed amount for the call-out and the job. If you might need a new cylinder, you hear that price too. You say yes or no. If you say no, it costs nothing. See prices.

3. We drive to you

A locksmith heads to your address. Most calls in the Stockholm region: 20–40 min. If traffic or distance will make it longer, we tell you on the call. Keep your phone on; we ring the number you called from if we can't find the entrance.

4. We check your ID

Before the door opens, we check who you are and that you live there. A passport, a Swedish ID card, a driving licence or a residence permit card, plus something that ties you to the address. If your ID is inside, we check it just inside the door, before you go further. We judge it on site. Read why we check ID.

5. We open, you pay, you get a receipt

We start with non-destructive opening. In most cases the lock works afterwards as before. If drilling is the only way, we stop, explain and give you the price. You decide.

When the door is open you pay by card or Swish. You get a receipt that shows what we did. If there was a break-in, the receipt helps with your insurance claim.

What we don't do

We are an emergency locksmith. We don't do vehicles, strongboxes or new doors. If your problem is outside what we do, we tell you on the call so you don't waste time.
